Sorta, there is a tape mod you can do to use an Apex tip.

The closest thing I can think of as a mod for a barrel is to tape the porting, I don't think there's much you can do to barrels but buy replacements.

i saw a barrel once that you could put airsoft bbs. i think it was called the garbage barrel.

If you are into mil-sim, you could get a muzzel break (you could for speedball & rec-ball but it'd look kinda weird). I'm having a hard time inserting pictures, but google M82A1 A-5 to see what I'm talking about or go to opsgear.com to see.
